Crested Cranes: Team Conducts Training Ahead Of First Regional Tour

The senior Uganda Women national football team, the Crested Cranes, held their first training session on Thursday ahead of an upcoming regional tour game.

The team will face Kampala Region Select team on Saturday at the Star Times stadium on Saturday 16/03/2019 at 2pm.

This will be the first regional tour for the Created Cranes.

“It’s going to help me get to see some of the players from other region and of course assess the ones on my team,” said Crested Cranes Coach Faridah Bulega after the training at Luzira.

The Cranes will be led by captain Tracy Jones Akiror. Reigning Female MVP Ruth Aturo, Elite Women leading top scorer Hassifa Nassuna and Juliet Nalukenge will be some of the star attractions.

The opposite end will be coached by Ayub Khalifa who recently named a team of 25 players.
