BUL FC: Coach Onen Blames Players Accident For Draw Against URA

BUL FC coach Peter Onen has said that he would have picked maximum points if two of his players were available for selection against URA FC on Friday.

On Thursday, BUL FC players Otim James and Ojok Deogracious while on a boda from Bugembe to Njeru at 2PM, were involved in a road accident. The duo is also expected to miss a couple of games to come.

Richard Wandyaka scored in the 62nd minute as BUL FC staged a come back to pick a vital point against URA FC in a rescheduled fixture.

“It’s not a surprise that I have got a point,” Onen told journalist after the equally contested duel. “Its unfortunate because of our poor preparations before this game where my two players were involved in accident and I believe that I would have gone with all three points.”

“This incident disorganized us, I could have won this game because I have won at Namboole before, but anyway, we have managed to walk away with something at least.”

The result is BUL’s ninth draw of the season – It should be noted that the reverse fixture had ended goalless in Njeru on November 6th.

Onen’s side is on a four game unbeaten run in the league since that 2-0 loss to KCCA FC at Lugogo on February 13th – They have since won once (2-1 V Police) and drawn thrice against Villa, Nyamityobora and now URA.

BUL occupy fifth place on the 16 team log with 36 points, two above Onduparaka FC after 23 league games.

The club will visit Tooro United and Ndejje University before hosting Kirinya Jinja in a local derby at Njeru.
