UPL: Mutyaba Lifts KCCA Past Kirinya Jinja

Suleiman Mike Mutyaba scored a brace, a goal in either half, to spur KCCA FC’s win over Kirinya Jinja SS.

KCCA won 2-0 in a StarTimes Uganda Premier League game played at Mighty Arena in Jinja.

The veteran attacker lobbed in the opener from Sadat Anaku’s assist before the half hour mark to send the Garbage Collectors into an halftime lead.

Mutyaba later grabbed the brace in the 53rd minute, when he showed composure with his control before firing past Sanon Mulabi.

Mutyaba takes his goal tally to nine this league season.

The victory takes leaders KCCA FC to 52 points, three above Vipers in second place who managed to overcome Maroons FC.

This was Kirinya’s second loss at the Mighty Arena – Onduparaka FC was the first team to win at the ground in, 3-0 on December 23rd.

KCCA FC came into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw with Tooro United before the break.

KCCA remain unbeaten against Kirinya in the league. This was the sixth meeting between the clubs. KCCA FC have won four times and drawn the other two.
