UPL: URA Seek Revenge Against Bright Stars

URA will be targeting revenge when they play host to Bright Stars on Wednesday in the Uganda Premier League encounter at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.

Bright Stars eliminated URA out of the 2018/19 Stanbic Uganda Cup quarters with a 2-1 victory – Jamil Kalisa scored twice before Shafic Kagimu brought one back from the spot.

“We are determined and we we want to win our game on Wednesday,” said Kagimu. “Bright Stars eliminated us from Uganda Cup which was painful, we are going to reduce on the mistakes we made last time. We have five games left a d we can’t afford to lose any of them.”

URA are third on the log with 43 points, six behind second placed Vipers and the club coach Sam Ssimbwa was voted as March’s best in the Pilsner awards.

URA FC want to win their remaining five games.

Ssimbwa, in his brief remarks claimed that URA want to win their remaining games to force the title contention go to the last wire.

URA have gone seven league games unbeaten since falling to Maroons 1-0 at Namboole.

The Tax collectors beat Bright Stars 2-0 away in Mwererwe in the first round of the ongoing league.

The visitors come into this tie on the back of a 2-1 loss to Kirinya Jinja and occupy 11th place on the log with 31 points
