KCCA Vs Express FC
Nyamityobora Vs Maroons
Onduparaka Vs BUL
Tooro United Vs Mbarara City
KCCA will play host to visiting fading giants Express FC in a City cross derby in the Uganda Premier League at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo.
18 league titles are split between City rivals KCCA and Express, with the former taking the Lion’s share bossing with 12 crowns.
The two old rivals find themselves occupying different areas on the 16 team league log on Match-day 27. KCCA at the summit with 56 points while Express FC are 11th.
With differing ambitions at stake including the social media pun from the fans, favourites KCCA will look to beat Express in a bid to improve their title chances and pay revenge to Express who won the reverse fixture 3-2 at Betway Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku in the first round.
Mike Mutebi’s only worry will be his inability to close out Express FC from finding the back of the net, as the Garbage Collectors have conceded 20 goals, the highest tally among the top four teams.
The Red Eagles who come into the game on the back of a boring one all draw with the other rival SC Villa, will be expected to play for a positive result, at least a draw for starters.
No new injury worries for KCCA FC except Julius Poloto, Mike Mutyaba and Muwadda Mawejje.
Allan Kyambadde and Patrick Kaddu who started against Paidha upfront, may be given that role again as they impressed against MUBS in friendly – The duo scored one each in a 3-0 win to add on Sadat Anaku’s strike.
Express FC will welcome back Captain Isaac Mutanga from an injury. The hard centre back missed against Villa. Shafic Kakeeto is expected to pave way for Mutanga in the starting XI.
Injured Striker Tony Odur remains sidelined but Eric Kambale, Brian Umony and Mubarak Nsubuga are all in line to start at Lugogo.

What the Managers said:
KCCA Coach Mike Mutebi –
“Its going to be like any other game but most importantly is for us to win to brighten our title chances.
“Its a big match punctuated with history but nowadays history no longer win matches. I know they will stage a big match but we will do every thing in our own means.”
Express FC Coach George Ssemwogerere –
“It’s a big challenge but when two big teams meet each other very many things change so we hope they are very ready and we are very ready so the team which will follow their coaches’ instructions or follow their game plan will win the game.”
Express FC beat KCCA 3-2 in the first leg this season, the club’s first win in seven previous attempts.
KCCA have scored at least a goal in their last nine league games at Lugogo, they last fired blanks against Mbarara in a goalless draw on October 31 last year
Since replacing Kefa Kisala as coach, this will be Ssemwogerere’s tenth league game in charge of Express FC – 3 losses, 3 draws and 3 wins.
All Ssemwogerere’s three league wins have come against teams in the red zone – Nyamityobora, Ndejje and Paidha – who happens to be league new comers.
KCCA have scored 31 league goals at Lugogo this season, a higher tally that Express FC have managed both home and away – 24.
