Brian Umony Foundation Receives Boost From NCS

The Brian Umony Foundation, an initiative of current Express FC striker Brian Umony, has received boost ahead of their coming endeavours.

The foundation on Monday received 20 Footballs worth Sh150000 each.

“As a foundation we are extremely glad that NCS supported the cause, the foundation has several activities that are planned and the footballs will certainly help in the activities,” said the foundation’s CEO Peter Tabu.

Tabu who also doubles as a Sports journalist with Radio City, hinted that the balls will be used at the upcoming Charity event at Bukoto at the end of this month.

Last year, the charity held successful campaigns including the Naguru give back event at Lugogo.

Notably, the foundation with the help of Barclays bank hosted Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler who inspired the kids.

Speaking on behalf of National Council, the body’s head of Corporate affairs Ismail Dhakaba Kigongo noted:

“We are aware of the work done by Umony and his team in helping youths living in tough conditions.

“Their lives can change through involvement in sports that is why NCS found it important to support his cause. We hope the balls reduce the personal burden on him in organising events for the youths.”
