NBL: FUBA Receives Financial Boost In Three-Year Deal

Federation of Uganda Basketball Association (FUBA) has this morning unveiled a 300 Million Uganda Shillings package from East African Breweries.

Tusker Lite, the premium beer, comes on board with Sh100M per year for three years. They return after sponsoring last season’s playoffs and basketball 3X3 activities.

Announcing the partnership at a Press briefing held at Uganda Olympic Committee in Lugogo, FUBA General Secretary Hudson Ssegamwenge noted:

“We are pleased that Tusker return on board, this shows the trust and willingness they have in developing basketball and sports in general.

“We believe that this package will help our game to grow further.”

UBL’s brand manager Cathy Tumwesigye commented that they are excited to be back the sponsorship is a reaffirmation of Tusker’s faith in the NBL.

“We have come back for three seasons, we reaffirm our stake in Basketball because its full of excitement, sets the trend and so is Tusker Lite.

“This is the right timing when basketball is at the helm of growth and we want to move this journey together.”

FUBA’s head of Marketing Arnold Katabi commended the work of Media for building a good product of basketball and confirmed that the sponsorship package is to help the federation facilitate the smooth running of the league and take care of the 3X3 activities.
