Kyetume Used Ineligible Players – Kansai Plascon Petitions FUFA

Kansai Plascon have alleged that Kyetume FC used two ineligible players during their FUFA Big League playoffs final tie player at StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo.

Kyetume eased past Kansai with a 4-1 victory to clinch the last promotion slot to Uganda Premier League in a game played on Sunday.

The accusations came through just about an hour after Robert Ssentongo’s hat-trick and Benon Tahomera’s early effort ended Kansai’s league dreams.

Kansai has consequently petitioned FUFA, according to the Letter seen by this Website, claiming that Kyetume used Emma Kalyowa and Vincent Owundo who are still registered with the Kenyan Premier League.

“Kansai Plascon FC hereby petition in your office for the Kyetume FC players who are pending evidence over double licencing which is contrary the FUFA/FIFA rules and regulations,” reads a letter seen by this website.

“Kalyowa Emma – shirt number 34 and Vincent Owundo – shirt number 29. We believe that the above mentioned players are registered with Kenyan Premier League and do request FUFA to kindly avail us with their International Transfer Certificate and letter of last contract (release).”

The document, addressing FUFA CEO, Competition and Disciplinary Department, is written by Kansai Plascon CEO Tom Ochen.

If this comes to pass and Kyetume is found guilty, the Mukono based team might lose their new Premier League status in favour of Kansai Plascon.

FUFA and the now jubilant Kyetume FC are yet to respond to the matter.
