Uganda Cranes: Balinya, Okello Dropped As Desabre Names Squad For UAE Camp

The 2018/19 Uganda Premier League topscorer Juma Balinya has been left out of the Uganda Cranes squad that will camp in Abu Dhabi (UAE) to prepare for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.

The team revealed on FUFA website, also see Allan Okello (KCCA FC) miss out.

Balinya had a successful season, scoring 19 league goals but as they say, his tally has not impressed the selectors.

Only 11 players from the ongoing residential training camp have been included on the 26 man squad for the trip to Abu Dhabi.

Vipers duo Moses Waiswa and Taddeo Lwanga together with five KCCA Players Charles Lukwago, Timothy Awany, Saddam Juma, Patrick Kaddu and Allan Kyambadde will make the trip.

The entire Uganda Cranes squad to UAE will fly out on May 27 where they will camp and play two friendly matches.

Goalkeeper Lukwago will also be part of the COSAFA team and will join the UAE camp later on. James Alitho, Allan Okello, Juma Balinya, Mustafa Mujuzi and Daniel Sserunkuma have been forwarded to the COSAFA team under coach Abdullah Mubiru.
