The National Basketball League will continue on Wednesday with two interesting ties at YMCA court in Wandegeya, Kampala.

The Men’s game will see Our Saviour target first league win this season when they face off with new league entrants Kampala University.

Winless Our Saviour

It has been a false start for the Kikoni based side after losing some of their star players like Brian Ssentongo (KIU), Dudus Manoja and Joseph Wacha who joined JKL Dolphins.

Consequently, Our Saviour, a club which is affiliated to a born again church, has gone on to lose all their opening seven games.

Our Saviour will have to contest each shot against a scoring KU

Our Saviour is skating on thin ice and are now strong favourites to go down, they narrowly (together with KCCA men) survived the drop last season and their failure to bring in new good players is a sign that last season’s struggles were no learning lessons.

There are still more games to go but if they can change their fortunes, they have to start winning ASAP. They will surely fancy one against a new comer but some of their key players like Diego Anghemi and Wilberforce Pirwoth have double their efforts.

Kampala University will however not be a walkover, the Ggaba based team shares the ball well and have good shooters like Ahmed Kassa and Joram Kato.

Their only problem since joining top flight has been defence and they will need Patrick Seduge and Moses Mugisha to clear the glass always.
