City Oilers facing off with Ndejje highlight the evening as the six time defending champions will be up against their boggy side in the NBL.

In the last two seasons, Ndejje have managed a win against Oilers – They beat Mandy Juruni’s side 59-58 last season and 77-74 in 2017. Both matches coming in regular season.

Martin Buluma and Gauthier Badhera scored 15 each on June 15 as Ndejje recovered from a 19-26 deficit at halftime to shock Oilers on June 15, 2018.

In July 2017, Ndejje beat the Oilers 77-74 thanks to Deng Maker and Michael Otieno’s 18 and 17 points respectively. The pair has moved to Warriors.

Oilers will this time round have to take Walker Obedi’s side seriously if they are to survive another shocking result.

Coach Juruni’s charges recntly found solace when they returned to winning ways with a 89-63 win over Sharing Youth on Saturday at KIU court in Kansanga. This came on the back of a three game winless run.

Ndejje on the other hand, are second on the log behind Oilers. They have been wining quietly – 6-1. Since falling 75-70 to UCU Canons in the opener, they have won six games in a row including one against JKL. Notably. They have managed at least 70 points in all their games this season.

Against Oilers, Ndejje will be required to defend and execute accordingly at the offense. Coach Obedi will demand much from all his teammates starting from the starters like Innocent Ochera, Derrick Katumba, Salim Kisily among others.

After Oilers, Ndejje face KIU Titans, Warriors and Betway Power before ending their first round. They will need big hearts and character to pick maximum points and that tussle starts now.
