Bright Stars coach Fred Kajoba is banking on his experience to help Bright Stars win their first silverware when the side face Proline FC in the Uganda Cup final.

The much anticipated duel is to go underway in Masaka at the Recreation ground this Saturday.

It should be noted that Kajoba was runners up (2010) and winner (2011) with Simba as coach.

“I have the experience for Cup finals and all chances are on my side,” said Kajoba as quoted by the club website. “We shall play an entertaining game and nothing can stop us from winning the trophy.”

“Our Players are ready to deliver. They are in good shape and well motivated. This is my chance to lift a big trophy with Bright Stars FC. No doubt we are ready to give it 100% together with my players.”

The side, finished eighth on the Uganda Premier League table with 41 points, will mainly rely on their skipper Nelson Ssenkatuka for goals.

Proline, littered with young talent, will hope to get the best from Bright Anukani, Noordin Bunjo, Mustafa Mujuzi among others.

Bright Stars’ route to final saw them eliminate Kazo Excel, Bumate FC, URA FC, Nebbi Central and Express FC.

Proline FC, reigning FUFA Big League Champions, saw off Light SS, Nyamityobora, Onduparaka, Vipers SC and Kyetume FC.

KCCA FC are the defending champions after beating SC Vipers in last year’s final.
