NBL: Ayo Shoots Lights Out Against A1 Challenge

Judith Ayo Nansobya took matters in her own hands to lift KCCA Leopards past A1 Challenge in an entertaining National Basketball League at YMCA Court in Wandegeya, Kampala.

KCCA won 87-58, a 29 point game, their seventh victory of the season after eight games. They have UCU Lady Canons on menu to complete their first round.

Ayo who joined KCCA from Lady Canons in 2017, literally shot everything inside the hoop with her 29 minutes on court.

She led the way with 25 points on the back of a 6-10 shooting from beyond the arc. She currently averages 14 points this season.

Martha Soigi capitalised on her size to contribute a double double of 18 points and 15 rebounds, Cynthia Irakunda had 13 while Leticia Awor and Sylivia Nakazibwe had 9 points each.

Ali Mavita’s charges led from start to finish, shot 45% from the field as they benefited from A1’s flaws that saw the side turnover the ball 22 times and managed just five points in the last quarter.
