Uganda Cranes: Injury Ruins Waiswa’s AFCON Dream

News coming out of Uganda Cranes’ camp in Abu Dhabi have confirmed that midfielder Moses Waiswa will not take part in the Africa Cup of Nations set in Egypt.

Vipers midfielder will miss the tourney after suffering a knee injury in training.

FUFA website stressed that plans are already underway for the player to return in the country for home treatment and recovery.

Waiswa who is the 2018 Airtel FUFA player of the year, misses the continental showpiece amidst rumours linking him to South Africa’s club Super Sport United.

The Cranes are expected to face Turkmenistan on Sunday and Ivory Coast on June 15th in friendly games that will fine tune the team before facing DRC in the AFCON opener.
