Genocide Memorial: Much At Stake As Lady Cricket Cranes Head To Rwanda

Uganda’s lady Cricket team, the Lady Cricket Cranes, have on on Friday morning been flagged off to Kigali, Rwanda for the Genocide (Kwibuka) memorial tournament set for June 16-23

The tourney held since 2014, is organized in honour of sportsmen and women who died during the 1994 Genocide.

However, this year’s edition has received full T20 international status and thus will add points and contribute much to the ranks of participants, unlike the previous editions.

With defending champions Kenya not taking part, Uganda will be seeking to win a tourney they won in 2014 and 2016.
