Official: Wakiso Giants Name New Coach

Wakiso Giants has named Kefa Kisaala as the new coach, the club has announced.

Kisaala who had no job after being sacked by Express FC midway of last season has replaced Ibrahim Kirya whose contract was not renewed despite leading the club to topflight.

“We are delighted to announce Kefa Kisala as our new head coach,” reads an excerpt on Wakiso Giants official website.

The club confirmed that Kisala signed a two year renewable contract and he will be assisted by the Former Ugandan international James Odoch who also signed a same period.

The club promised to announce a second assistant in due course as preparation for new life in star times Uganda premier league begins.

However Ali Kiggundu, Goalkeeping coach and Team manager Mathias Kisitu have been retained as well.

“Its a great honour to work with this ambitious club,” noted Kisala. “Its going to be a big challenge but am willing to take on and I will do all I can to make this exciting project a success.”

It should be noted that Kefa Kisala has coached many different clubs in Uganda which include Masaka LC, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), BUL FC and lately Express Football club.
