Patrick Kaddu scored the important goal against Cape Verde which confirmed Uganda Cranes’ place at AFCON for another year running.

He scored again to set the tone as Uganda beat DR Congo 2-0 to record her first AFCON win in 41 years.

However, the KCCA FC forward is not just about scoring, he also looks forward to making the most prestigious nations tournament a platform to further success.

“I feel good about this great achievement, too much pressure where you have to deliver. We are all here to play for our country and make it proud,” Kaddu told this website.

Kaddu, born 1995, played for Maroons FC and Kiira Young before joining KCCA FC. He scored 14 league goals in the concluded 2018/19 season to finish third on the top-scorer log behind Juma Balinya (19) and Nelson Ssenkatuka (16).

Kaddu and Uganda Cranes will return to action this Wednesday, June 26 against Zimbabwe in the next group A fixture on at the Cairo international stadium.
