Am Seeking For Playing Time – Ikara on Joining Mbarara City

KCCA FC shot stopper Tom Ikara has been loaned out to Uganda Premier League top tier Mbarara City FC on a year deal, this website can confirm.

Ikara will join Mbarara City after KCCA has concluded its participation in Kagame CECAFA Cup on 20th July 2019.

Ikara who joined the reigning league champions from Kirinya Jinja SS FC in 2018, signed a two year deal with KCCA. However, he has been frustrated by lack of playing time at the Lugogo based club.

While talking to The-SportsNation, the humble goalkeeper revealed that he is in search for playing time with the Ankole Lions.

“I still have a contract with KCCA but I had to think of this move, yes there has been competition but I sought for more playing time at Mbarara,” he said. “I will be back at KCCA because it’s my club.”

Ikarah will be taking place of the released Ali kimera who is reported to be on his way to Onduparaka FC.

Ikara’s departure will see younger shot stopper Ali Mwirusi step in for replacement at Lugogo.

In his two seasons with the Lugogo based side, Ikara has won one league tittle, Uganda cup trophy, Super cup and the pilsner Super 8.
