
Rwanda’s most successful club Amrèe Patriotque Rwandaise (APR) has parted ways with Dennis Rukundo.
In a letter released by the Rwandese Club, the former KCCA FC and Maroons right back is among the 16 players released.
The decision was taken in a meeting held at APR’s meeting hall where other players like goalkeeper Yves Kimenyi, defender Albert Ngabo , Dominique Savio Nshuti among others, were shown the exit door.
The army side failed to win the league despite leading Rayon Sport by 13 points at one stage – They came second in the Azam Rwanda Premier League – seven points behind champions Rayon Sports.
Long serving captain Jean Baptiste Mugiraneza has also been offloaded.
Rukundo joined APR from KCCA on September 5, 2017 a year after his successful season with KCCA.
The pacy right back has had two seasons in Rwanda.
