AFCON: We Have No Pressure – Hassan Wasswa

Uganda Cranes assistant captain Hassan Wasswa has said that his side has no pressure facing hosts and tournament favourites Egypt.

The two sides will go head to head on Sunday for the last group A encounter at Cairo International stadium.

“Its a good opportunity to play the hosts and for us we have no pressure,” said Wasswa. “They are at home and as for us we have to just follow our game plan.”

“We are not focusing on individual players, we are playing Egypt as whole and if we give out our best I know we will get results from there”.

All group A games will be played tomorrow at 4pm where Uganda will play Egypt and Zimbabwe playing DR Congo to see who finishes in which position.

The pharaohs who already qualified from this group will be looking forward to get maximum point. The side will need to avoid defeat to seal top place. Egypt will also want to keep their clean sheet.

The Cranes on the hand will be looking forward to avoid mathematics which may likely to appear if they lose to Egypt with a big goal margin that is if Zimbabwe beat DR Congo.

However, on paper, the Cranes are literally through to round of 16 given the fact that there are four slots for third placed teams from their respective groups.

It should be noted that there are already four teams which qualified for next round after winning their 2 opening matches, these include Egypt, Nigeria, Algeria and Morocco.
