Official: Vipers Re-signs URA Midfielder

Vipers have signed Siraje Ssentamu from Uganda Revenue Authority, the club has confirmed via their official website.

This will be Ssentamu’s second spell at the Kitende based side – He left two years to play for URA FC.

“The midfielder has agreed a two-year deal on his return to Kitende, where he will play next season,” reads an excerpt on Vipers website.

He won 3 titles, the Uganda Premier League, Uganda Cup and the Fufa Super Cup with the Venoms in his first spell between 2013-2017 before he left to play for the tax collectors.

The former St Mary’s Kitende student becomes the club’s third signing after they recently confirmed Allan Kayiwa and Paul Willa from Tooro United and Police FC respectively.

He is expected to fill the void left behind by Moses Waiswa who left to finalise his deal with SuperSport United in South Africa, and Taddeo Lwanga who is rumoured to be looking for greener pastures outside Uganda.
