AS Vita Coach Reveals Admiration For Uganda Cranes Player

AS Vita coach Florent Ibenge has revealed his admiration for Uganda Cranes wing and left back Joseph Ochaya.

It should be noted that Ochaya is one of the three players that didnt get a minute of play for the Cranes at this year’s AFCON – Salim Jamal and Derrick Nsibambi are the other two.

However, this has not hindered Ibenge, who also doubles as the DR Congo coach, to show his interest in having Ochaya in his camp.

“He is a good hard working defender,” disclosed Ibenge to this website. “I have coached a few Ugandan players and I love their fighting spirit.”

“Yunus Sentamu helped us play the CAF champions league final in 2014. Savio Kabugo is a very good defender and so is Ochaya.”

The lanky defender currently plays for DR Congo’s TP Mazembe after switching from Zambia’s Lusaka Dynamos on October 2018.

It should be noted that Ochaya’s TP Mazembe coach Mihaya Kazembe is an assistant to Ibenge on the National team.

At Mazembe, Ochaya’s competitor Arsene Zola was recently sold off to Belgian side Anderlecht and the former KCCA FC defender may choose to remain to play for the record league winners.
