Out of job tactician Douglas Bamweyana has weighed himself alongside departing Cranes coach Sebastien Desabre.

This follows the recent praise given to Desabre who ended his Cranes’ career on high – after mutually agreeing with FUFA to terminate his contract – when he led Uganda to AFCON knockout.

Bamweyana who was sacked by SC Villa down the stretch of last season, revealed his measurements via his Facebook account:

“I had an almost similar performance at some stage at some club as Desabre’s – despite completely different environments assumptions and support systems along the way and a section was driven to think I was to blame,” reads Bamwayana’s post, in part.

Desabre guided Uganda Cranes to only six wins from 21 games just like Bamweyana’s spell at SC Villa before he was shown exit.

The Stats:
*Desabre (Uganda Cranes) – P21, W6, D9, L6
*Bamweyana (SC Villa) – P21, W6, D7, L8

The respected and learnt Bamweyana, who also coached Express FC, was appointed by SC Villa to replace Moses Basena in November last year, but failed to impress the bosses and fans before he was kicked out by the record league winners.

Earlier, while appearing at Capital FM on Saturday on the Radio’s sports show, Bamweyana revealed that he is still weighing on his next managerial options when asked by Moderator Brian Tuka about his next destination.

Desabre on the other hand, is expected to be unveiled by Egyptian club before this week ends.
