Former Uganda Cranes coach Sebastien Desabre has bid his farewell to the country’s football stakeholders as the Frenchman set to move on to another challenge.
Desabre agreed with FUFA to terminate his contract as he opted for greener pastures elsewhere.

“I thank my players, staff, collaborators, government and supporters for the investment and support on the Ugandan football development road,” Desabre tweeted.
“I wish you the best for the future. I will always be an adopted Ugandan.”
The Frenchman who was appointed the Cranes coach on December 28, 2017, ended his tenure following the Cranes’ 1-0 loss to Senegal in the Africa Cup of Nations.

The journey with Uganda will be regarded as a success – He helped Uganda to reach AFCON knockout for the first time since 1978. He most importantly emulated his predecessor’s (Micho) achievement of taking Uganda back to AFCON.
Desabre is expected to join Egyptian money bags, a deal that is waiting for unveiling.
