Speaking with this website on Phone after their training at the exhibition arena, Kiwanuka said:

“We are not afraid of this overrated south African team. Right now, we are planning on how to stop them them in our training. They have been beating us in the previous engagements but we feel ready and now is the time.

“I have prepared my players accordingly and told them to focus. They have to focus on the players on court, not the South African team.”

In the previous World Cup in 2015, Uganda lost 50-40 to South Africa at the playoff stage.

He added that, on Monday, the hon. minister met the players privately and there is nothing to worry about.
