AS Kigali has released 12 players including Uganda striker Frank Kalanda, reports have confirmed.
The released players were not part of the club’s plans for the coming 2019-20 season.
The side that competes in the Azam Rwanda Premier league have made a sweep in the squad to provide room for new signings as they prepare to represent Rwanda in CAF Confederation cup.
Kalanda joined AS Kigali in 2017, singing three years from Tooro United, formerly Soana.
He has previously played for URA FC and Express FC.
He is greatly remembered for his brace against Tanzania in a 3-1 win as Cranes qualified for CHAN 2014 in South Africa.
