Former URA, Villa Striker Switches Clubs In India

Ugandan striker Henry Kisekka has returned to India League side Gokulam Kerala, The-SportsNation.com has learnt.

The striker, formerly at URA FC and SC Villa had signed for Mohun Bagan at the end of the 2017-18 season.

Kisekka had impressed in his first season with Kerala before he was acquired by Bagan where he scored five goals in 17 games last season.

Kisekka, known for his love for goals, has played four games and scored two goals for Uganda Cranes. He was summoned for the National Team for the 2014 World Cup Qualifiers.

He returns to Kerala to lift the side that ended the 2018-19 season in ninth position.

He is expected to team up with Marcus Joseph at the front who scored seven goals in nine matches last season for the duo to terrorise defences.

Kisekka had joined Kerala in February 2018 from URA FC. He scored his first goal for the club in the 90th minute against Mohun Bagan in his second game in the Indian league.

He also played in Vietnam with Bao Quang Nam, Dong Nai and Long An among others.
