CHAN: Coach Mubiru Remains Positive As Cranes’ Fire Blanks Against Proline

Uganda Cranes coach Abdallah Mubiru is not bothered by Uganda Cranes’ inability to score goals following the team’s draw against Proline FC in a friendly.

Newly promoted Proline FC managed to hold Uganda Cranes to a goalless draw in a practice match played on Wednesday morning at StarTimes Stadium Lugogo.

This, was the last test for Cranes who are set to face Somalia away to Djibouti.

“Depending on the way we play I see we are in a very right line I need,” Mubiru said at Lugogo after the draw.

“But we haven’t yet done well in scoring, we are not creative enough, but we are going to emphasize on them in these few remaining days.”

The team has played three build up matches in total, winning one, loosing one and drawing the other.

They beat URA 1-0, lost 1-0 against Bunyoro in the other games.

Uganda will be facing Somalia in double header on July 27th in Djibouti and on August 3rd 2019 in Kampala before facing the winner between Southern Sudan and Burundi.

The team is expected to leave to Djibouti tonight as they look forward to qualify for CHAN for 5th time in a row since its debut in Sudan 2012.
