*Sharing Youth 56-79 Warriors
*Betway Power 77-85 JKL Dolphins

JKL Dolphins managed to stop Betway Power in a National Basketball League game played at Indoor arena, Lugogo.

JKL took a 45-35 first half lead but Power staged a fight with a 20-13 third quarter win to reduce the deficit however Henry Malinga’s charges managed to hold on and squeeze a laboured victory.

In a game that could go either way, JKL capitalised on Power’s reckless turnovers as they shot 31-of-60 from the field to complete a season double against five time league champions.

Brian Namake (27) and namesake Muramba (23) were the only JKL players to score in double figures as they combined for a half ton to take last year’s semifinalists to the finish line. Namake added 6 rebounds and 9 assists to his tally.

Phillip Ameny and Joseph Ikong scored 18 and 17 points respectively in a losing effort.

This, wa Power’s fifth loss of the regular season from 15 games. JKL on the other hand, have 12 games from 16 attempts.

JKL return to action on Sunday against Ndejje University Angels while Power will have no time to rest as they face Warriors on Friday at YMCA court, Wandegeya.

Warriors continued with their impressive form as they proved too strong against Raymond Muhumuza’s Sharing Youth.

Caesar Kizito’s game high 17 points was not enough for the Nsambya team. Samad Imran and Chris Omanye contributed 15 and 13 respectively for Ronnie Mutebi’s coached team.
