Despite shooting 23 of 50 from the field, Kampala University capitalised on KIU Titans’ lack enough armoury to record a laboured victory.

The Titans continued to miss the services of Michael Bwanga, Denis Balungu, Ethienel Kazungu and Collins Kasujja.

Raphael Kayondo weighed in with a game high 19 points, Guelord Kabantu added 17 while Moses Mugisha and Ahmed Kassa contributed 13 each in the win for the Gaba based campus.

Sudi Ulanga managed a team high 17, while Joseph Dramaza (12) was the other KIU player to score in double figures.

This is the seventh loss for KIU Titans who have won just nine games. They have managed one win from five second round games.

K.U on the other hand, have now won once in their last ten games. Prior to this game, they had last won a game against Our Saviour (60-55) on May 22.
