CHAN: Training is Focused On Mistakes Done In Djibouti – Coach Mubiru

Uganda Cranes coach, Abdallah Mubiru has said that his side is now working out on some few mistakes encountered in their first leg CHAN qualification match with Somalia last Saturday in Djibouti which ended 3-1 in Cranes’ favour.

While speaking to the media on afternoon after the Cranes training session at Lugogo ahead of the return leg, Mubiru said his side missed alot of scoring chances and lacked penetration.

“We try to penetrate and creating some good chances but unfortunately we don’t finish them off,” Mubiru said.

‘So we are working on finishing and penetration so that we improve, then latter on like on Thursday we will work on concentration because the goal we conceded came as a result of limited concentration.”

Also, Mubiru admitted that his team will miss the services of Timothy Awany and Tadeo Lwanga who never came back with team in their quest to pursue professional carriers outside Uganda.

Cranes conducted its first training on Tuesday at StarTimes stadium, Lugogo ever since they returned from Djibouti.

Return leg is going to be played on Saturday, August 3 2019, at StarTimes stadium Lugogo having won first leg 3-1.

The winner on aggregate will face the winner between South Sudan and Burundi, where Burundi won the first leg 2-0 in Bujumbura last Saturday.
