Shocking: Why Shaban Left Raja Casablanca

There was much anticipation when Shaban Mohammed joined Moroccan club Raja Casablanca officially on August 16, 2018.

A series of unfortunate events culminated into termination of a contract worth $130000, hardly a year at the club.

Shaban’s agent Ronnie Santos revealed the news about the divorce with the club.

Alluding to the discipline record back home, media was quick to judge the player for the contract termination but his furious agent was quick to comment on the accusations.

“We discussed many terms before the move to which the club accepted to adhere to and signed, but it is so embarrassing that my player, a national team player was used out of position, dropped to the reserves and failing to train because the van no longer picks him from the apartment,” Santos noted.

“As if that was not enough, he was dragged out of the apartment – the club was no longer paying his rent.”

After scoring 18 goals for KCCA FC since joining from Onduparaka, Shaban was snatched by Raja in a three year contract deal in 2018.

He scored his first goal for the Moroccan giants in a 5-0 victory against Gabon’s Mberi Sportif in CAF Confederations cup.

However, he has struggled to cement his place in the team that has won the title for three time champions league.

Shaban had earlier posted a furious post – “I am tired, I really regret” – which he later deleted later.

Shaban jetted in the country on July 30 according to his agent and are working on a possible move before leagues begin.
