Anyama Is Our Player – Onduparaka Responds To Tooro’s Petition

Onduparaka FC have claimed that goalkeeper Richard Anyama still has a running contract with the club.

The development follows Tooro’s petition to FUFA that accused the Arua based side for using Anyama in the recent Pilsner Super eight quarter final game on Sunday, August 4.

Various reports have it that Anyama had already signed a contract with newly promoted Uganda Premier League side Wakiso Giants.

“Anyama is still our player,” Onduparaka FC Chief Executive Officer Pius Bamwenge exclusively told this website.

“Yes, his contract had expired at the end of the season, but we managed to persuade him and he renewed a three year deal.

“We can’t use an ineligible player.”

Anyama was integral as Onduparaka knocked out Tooro United in shootouts after a goalless draw at Greenlight stadium in Arua.

The shot stopper kept out Godfrey Lwesibawa’s spot kick as the West Nile giants won 4-3 to reach the semis where they will face KCCA FC.

Meanwhile, Onduparaka FC have been asked to host their league games at Maroons stadium in Luzira.
