Hamis Kiiza despite ‘better’ interests from other clubs, opted to sign for newly promoted Proline FC.
Diego, as commonly known in the football fraternity, has broke the silence on why he chose Proline FC.
“Joining Proline FC was just an easy choice for me to take,” Diego said while appearing on Peter Tabu’s #Pitchside video podcast.
“For starters, I started my career here when Proline was called Nalubaale FC, secondly, Proline’s board members are my personal friends and have been therefore me everywhere I have gone.”
The veteran goal poacher joined as a free agent after he was released by Vipers SC.
He is expected to bring more experience to the team that is littered with young talent.
He advised the junior players to have discipline, be patient, listen to instructions as some of the ways to achieve their football career dreams.
Diego will be a big pillar for Proline FC in the coming UPL season, however, his first and main task is to lift the club to the CAF Confederation cup group stages.
