The visitors came close in the second minute but debutant Sserunkuma was denied by the post.

The veteran target man was brought down in the forbidden area for a penalty, and he sent goalkeeper Meddie Kibirige the wrong way for the opener.

The visitors continued numerous attacks – Hassan Ssenyonjo headed over the bar from Yasin Mugume’s cross in the 25th minute.

At the close of the first half, Tooro United levelled matters when Davis Ssali fired past Yasin Mugabi off a Derrick Tekkwo assist.

Ssali missed a clear cut chance as Tooro almost took a lead at the break.

Mubiru almost levelled it late but his header went begging over the bar with three minutes to end of the game.
