Reports: Patrick Kaddu Set For KCCA FC Exit

Patrick Kaddu is set to leave KCCA FC for greener pastures, The-SportsNation.com sources have learnt.

Kaddu is expected to join a club in North Africa with all odds pointing to Morocco.

The striker whose trademark celebration is a ‘monkey-style’ dance, was on target as KCCA FC lost 3-2 away to Namibia against African Stars.

He didn’t train with KCCA FC on Thursday ahead of their Pilsner Super Eight tie with Onduparaka FC set on Friday, which has fueled the exit rumours.

He is expected to fly out of the country soon to finalise the deal.

If this comes to pass, Kaddu will become the third player to leave the ‘garbage collectors’ of recent after Timothy Denis Awany and Allan Kyambadde who have joined Ashdod FC (Israel) and El Gouna (Egypt) respectively.

The striker is fondly remembered for having scored the goal that took Uganda Cranes to 2019 AFCON on November 17 2018 in a 1-0 against Cape Verde. He also scored Cranes’ first goal at the tourney, in a 2-0 win against DR Congo.

The striker, UPL and Uganda Cup winner in 2018, joined KCCA FC in 2017 after spells with Maroons FC and Kiira Young.

Abdul Lumala (Pyramids), Emmanuel Okwi (Ittihad – Egypt), Mike Azira (Chicago Fire), Taddeo Lwanga (Tanta SC), Khalid Aucho (Misr El Mikassa) are some of the Uganda Cranes players to have landed new deals since 2019 AFCON ended.
