Wakiso Giants coach Kefa Kisala says that his side still have more to improve.
The Purple Sharks came from two goals down to draw 2-2 against URA FC but lost in the penalty shootouts.
After falling to Saidi Kyeyune and Brian Majwega’s first half goals, Karim Ndugwa and debutant Viane Ssekajugo scored for the hosts at Wakissha.
“It was a good game against a good team that I hope fans enjoyed,” started Coach Kefa speaking to the press after the game. “We conceded an early goal that cost us a lot.”
“URA FC has been preparing and I laud coach Sam simbwa for the good game exhibited. 2-2 was a fair result.
“We are working on our errors, we are still a work in progress and hopefully at the start of the new season we will have solved them.”
The Purple sharks, despite being at the receiving end for most of the minutes, tried to contain an explosive URA team and tested Alionzi Nafian on various occasions.
Wakiso also had Geoffrey Sserunkuma miss a penalty inside the first half after Viane Ssekajugo was fouled in the area.
Wakiso Giants finished 6th while URA FC claim 5th spot in the FUFA Pilsner Super Eight second edition.
