Kaddu Completes Move To Moroccan Club

Uganda Cranes striker Patrick Kaddu has completed his switch from KCCA FC to RS Berkene in Morocco.

The striker has inked a four-year deal, awaiting confirmation.

The former Maroons FC forward who was part of the Cranes team that reached the 2019 AFCON knockout for the first time since 1978, will wear jersey number 9.

Recently, KCCA FC coach Mike Mutebi had earlier hinted that his side has already got a replacement in youngster Sadat Anaku.

Kaddu becomes the third player to leave the ‘garbage collectors’ of recent after Timothy Denis Awany and Allan Kyambadde who have joined Ashdod FC (Israel) and El Gouna (Egypt) respectively.

The striker is fondly remembered for having scored the goal that took Uganda Cranes to 2019 AFCON on November 17 2018 in a 1-0 against Cape Verde. He also scored Cranes’ first goal at the tourney, in a 2-0 win against DR Congo.

The striker, UPL and Uganda Cup winner in 2018, joined KCCA FC in 2017 after spells with Maroons FC and Kiira Young.

Abdul Lumala (Pyramids), Emmanuel Okwi (Ittihad – Egypt), Mike Azira (Chicago Fire), Taddeo Lwanga (Tanta SC), Khalid Aucho (Misr El Mikassa) are some of the Uganda Cranes players to have landed new deals since 2019 AFCON ended.
