Reports: Former KCCA FC Defender Joins Police FC

Former KCCA FC defender Denis Rukundo has reportedly joined Police FC.

The-SportsNation.com sources have discovered that the player has been training with the club and an agreement has been reached.

Rukundo who had joined KCCA FC from Maroons FC, left Uganda on September 2017 to sign for Rwanda’s APR.

He was among the 16 players released by APR in June 2019. He was also in advanced talks to join Mbarara City FC but the deal fell through.

He becomes an automatic replacement for Paul Willa who left the Peace keepers for greener pastures in Kitende (Vipers).

Abdallah Mubiru’s team has also reportedly acquired towering defender Henry Katongole who was at SC Vipers last season.

Police FC will host league games at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium at Wakissha Resource centre in Wakiso.

The team played beautiful tik-tak football last season but finished a disappointing 11th place with 37 points, will face Onduparaka FC on Friday, August 30 on the road in the 2019/20 UPL season.
