Ssese is all set to host Busiro in what promises to be a pulsating affair in this year’s Masaza Cup quarter finals.
The game is set to be played at Lutoboka.
Ssese’s head coach Fred Kasekende is confident of victory despite his side missing striker Denis Mwemezi.
Mwemezi, current top scorer in this years tournament with seven goals, is with his club Vipers SC in preparations for Uganda Super 8 final against KCCA FC on Sunday.
The hosts will now shift trust to in Brian Addy who is the team’s second top scorer with three goals and eye catching performer striker Dennis Kalanzi.
Kasekende also noted that his side has had two new addition though he refused to disclose their names.
The-SportsNation.com sources have it that the news players are Ayebale Fredrick and Nahason Nuwamukama.
“We have signed two new players after the group Stage, we have trust in the team we have, its good and we are ready to beat anyone,” noted Kasekende.
“Busiro is a good team but we have beaten even better teams than them here at home. Gomba and Ssingo being with the most trophies at masaza cup I believe they are better than Busiro.”
It should be noted that Ssese beat Gomba and Ssingo 2-0 and 2-1 respectively in this year in Masengere group on their way to reach the quarters.
“In Masaza, every team is waiting at his home, now they are coming to ours and so we have to capitalise on our he advantage and win and stop them from getting an away goal so that by the time we visit them we will only have to go and get a goal on away.”
Ssese finished second in a group of 5 teams in Masengere group with 16 points, scored 15 and conceded 9 in 8 matches.
Busiro played two games fewer than Ssese, scored 6 and conceded 4 to finish on top of Bulange group with 11 points.
