Exclusive: Tooro United FC Appoints New Media Officer

Tooro United has appointed Shaban Lubega as the new club head of corporate affairs, the-SportsNation.com sources have discovered.

Lubega, popularly known as Benteke, will take over the club media relations in a bid to create a good image for Tooro United in the society.

He will be the main interface between the club and the various external media as well as normally being responsible for handling material for internal communication channels.

Lubega is a journalist at online publications Post Media Limited (PML) where he works as a Sports Editor. He was a also a presenter at Record Radio and TV.

He replaces Isa Musoke Nsereko who parted ways with the club recently.

FUFA recently hinted that each league club will have to be a with a media officer, and it will be a main necessity next season for one to acquire a club licence.

Tooro United will open their league campaign against Busoga United on Saturday at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
