KCCA FC: Captain Lukwago Backs Mutebi’s Rotation Policy

KCCA FC captain and goalkeeper Charles Lukwago has supported his Coach Mike Mutebi’s player rotation policy as the side prepare to face Proline FC in the Super Cup final.

Mutebi has been at the wrong end of critics with most corners accusing the coach of tinkering with the team, which they claim that it was the reason why his side has struggled of recent to get results.

Lukwago has not played a single minute in the concluded FUFA Super Eight fixture as he has been rested with Jamil Maliyamungu deputising.

Midfielders Gift Ali Abubaker and Nicholas Kasozi have shared minutes yet many have claimed that the two can play at the same time in the team.

Speaking in defence of his coach, Lukwago noted:

“Its a club policy where each player is given a chance to represent anytime. We are three players for example in the goalkeeping department and we are all good.

“The coach has to keep us in good shape and stay health because you have all seen that we have had a busy schedule.”

He believes that the coach is striking the right balance to also prevent player fatigue and injury.

Best Goalkeeper – Lukwago

Lukwago commented that their final against Proline is a must win as they try to build the right momentum for the season.

“We are taking this game so serious,” the former Proline FC goalie said. “We want to win and bring back confidence in the camp as we prepare for the league.”
