Vipers Came To Kick Legs – Mutebi Reflects On Lost Final

KCCA FC coach Mike Mutebi has blasted Vipers game approach after his side lost 2-0 in the Pilsner Super Eight Cup final.

Fahad Bayo scored the two goals to hand Vipers a title but KCCA gaffer Mutebi commented that the Venoms never deserved the win.

Mutebi said that Vipers should have given fans the best they deserve and that is an entertaining game at Wankulukuku.

“This was a game between two of the best teams in the country but Vipers’ tactic was just to stop us from playing our way,” Mutebi commented in a briefing held at Lugogo.

“They just kicked our legs and they made more fouls than dribbles and shots on target in the whole game.

“Vipers’ defensive midfielder Siraje Ssentamu taunted Allan Okello all day, and I think that the referees should always protect the good players in such situations.”

On the day, Coach Edward Golola withdrew Frank Zaga Tumwesigye midway through he game who was replaced by Rahmat Ssenfuka as Vipers tried to take commmad of the midfield.

KCCA FC failed to mount a commendable challenge with Vipers goalkeeper Fabien Mutombora never tested as expected.
