UPL: Ssimbwa Names URA’s Title Competitor

URA FC coach Sam Ssimbwa has named SC Vipers as their closest competitor ahead of KCCA FC.

Ssimbwa believes that Vipers have done enough in the transfer market and will be the favourites to win the StarTimes Uganda Premier league this 2019/20 season.

defending champions KCCA FC, Vipers and URA FC have been pointed out by many experts as this season’s frontrunners for the league title.

“My Revenue (URA FC) will do better this season,” Ssimbwa commented on a radio talk show recently. “I as an individual, I have taken long without tasting league triumph and this has increased my hunger and am sure I have a good team to compete favourably.”

“KCCA FC and Vipers have bigger budgets but I don’t fear KCCA. We can beat them because we have a good backroom staff. I will not despite SC Villa and Express because they have a rich history.

” I haven’t been given enough money to sign good players like you see Vipers and KCCA FC have done. Those two clubs have a bigger financial muscle. I can tell for example that last season I wanted to sign Nicholas Kasozi and Allan Kyambadde, but we didn’t have money and the two ended up at KCCA FC.”

URA FC will start their league campaign against Maroons FC on Friday at Namboole.
