URA FC head coach Sam Ssimbwa has said that his 3-0 win over Maroons FC on Friday in their league opener should serve as a warning to those teams he has not faced.
Saidi Kyeyune, Ivan Ntege and an own goal from Ronald Orombi gave URA a deserved victory against Douglas Bamweyana’s Maroons at Namboole.
Ssimbwa claimed that teams that haven’t faced URA should come ready expecting the same beating.
“We played well but not as we wanted. We could have beaten them like five or six goals but three are enough also,” Simbwa said afte the win at Namboole.
“If we have beaten Maroons by three on the first day, its a warning to those who haven’t played us yet, they must come ready for the same.”
It should be noted that Maroons FC was among the three teams that beat URA FC last season. The team also lost to KCCA FC and Bright Stars, all three losses came at home.
Ssimbwa also revealed that he has to improve his attacking department as it was very slow. He also commended Mandela Ashraf for his pace which his side is likely to rely.
“We have to attack more because time we have been too slow, but Mandela is fast, his pace is going to be very vital for us.”
