Obua Asks Former Club To Sign ‘Very Special’ Allan Okello

Uganda Cranes legend David Obua has requested former club Kaizer Chiefs to sign KCCA FC sensational youngster Allan Okello.

Obua used his official Twitter handle to make what is expected to be the first step of this transfer where he described Okello as a special player.

In the comment section, he said that Okello is an extremely talented player who plays in the middle of the park.

Obua’s remarks came just hours after Okello scored a goal and put up a man of the match performance in KCCA FC’s slender 1-0 win against Wakiso Giants at Lugogo in the league opener.

Okello’s goal against Wakiso came as early as the 13th minute when he directed a powerful header off Mustafa Kizza’s lofty delivery, past goalkeeper Yasin Mugabi

He is most notably remembered for his colourful debut when he hit an hat-trick against Onduparaka when aged 16 years then.

The player has had trials in Zurich, Switzerland and reports have it that the deal failed to materialise.

Obua, now coach of Lango province in the FUFA Drum, is a retired player who had stints with Police FC, Kaizer Chiefs and Hearts of Midlothian among other clubs.

It should be remembered that Okello scored an hat-trick as Obua’s Lango province beat Sebei 6-1 in FUFA Drum in May this year.
