*Police FC Vs BUL FC – 4:30PM
(Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, Wakissha)
Police FC will start their 2019/20 StarTimes Uganda Premier League campaign on a low note after being deducted three points.
The Peace Keepers, who were in Kenya for EAPCCO games, failed to honour their league opener against Onduparaka FC.
FUFA’s disciplinary committee has consequently ruled that Police lose their game against Onduparaka by forfeiture and be deducted three points and three goals.
According to the letter seen by The-SportsNation.com, FUFA found Police FC guilty of failing to respond to the charges (failing to turn up at Luzira Prisons ground for league game vs Onduparaka) in allocated time of 48 hours
“Police FC lose the match against Onduparaka by forfeiture and be docked three points and three from those to be accumulated in accordance with article 24 par 10 of the rules..” reads a document in part.
Coach Abdallah Target Positive Start
This will be Police’s first competitive game at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium which will serve as the team’s home.
The side shifted from Lugogo, and had hosted games at Namboole a season before.
Coach Abdallah Mubiru said that his side is well prepared and set to compete:
“We have prepared well, we have just come back from EAPCCO games where the team left well shaped, ready to compete and probably out compete our opponents.
“Our target this season is to out compete our opponents in all areas on and off the pitch. I call upon all our fans and even those of other teams to come and watch our game. We are targeting to play a very competitive entertaining game.”
Police start this season without their last season’s key players Juma Balinya and Paul Willa who left the club for greener pastures.
They will therefore rely on the services of Rubben Kimera, Samuel Kayongo, Ben Ocen and new additions that include Henry Katongole, Denis Rukundo etc.
The visitors are buoyant after beating Express FC 1-0 in their season opener at Njeru last Saturday.
Deogracious Ojok who score the only goal against Express and Hamis Tibita are the men to watch for BUL FC.
Both teams have so far met 8 times in the league, Police has lost twice, won three and drawn as many.
