Tooro Trio To Face FUFA Disciplinary Committee

Three Tooro United players are set to appear in the FUFA Disciplinary committee following incidents in the match between Vipers SC and Tooro United FC.

The said players are Lwesibawa Godfrey, Kayiwa Ibrahim and Muhumuza Paddy.

The Disciplinary committee claims that the trio confronted match referee at Kitende in a league game played on Tuesday 3/9/2019 at St Mary’s Stadium.

We would like to draw attention to the content of art.30(5) of the FUFA competition rules which provided for sanction for offense against match official and in particular, paragraph (iii) which establish for a suspension or ban not exceeding four competition matches or specified period for unsporting conduct a against a match official,” reads a document seen by this website from FUFA.

In view of the aforementioned situation, we are herewith opening discplinary proceedings against the three players, Lwesibawa Godfrey, Kayiwa Ibrahim and Muhumuza Paddy for a possible violation of the before mentioned article.

With this in mind, we hereby invite your club and players to provide us with a statement and or any documentary evidence considered as relevant for the matter with in 24 hours.”

In an eventful affair, ten man Vipers beat Tooro United 1-0 with Fahad Bayo securing it late for the Venoms.

Referee Brian Miiro Nsubuga sent off Vipers player Farouk Musisi after the left back had accumulated his second yellow card.

Tooro coach Wasswa Bbosa was also sent off after he made protests on the touchline.
