Uganda Cranes will take on Kenya Harambee Stars in an international friendly set on Sunday, September 8 at Moi International Stadium, Kasarani.
The Cranes return to Kenya after 899 days since these sides last met on March 23, 2017 in a friendly.
Then, the Cranes were under Coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredejovic.
Kenya took a lead in the 35th minute at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos with Michael Olunga on score-sheet – Olunga beat Habib Kavuma before directing a right footed shot to the bottom right corner past goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan.
The hosts continued to dominate proceedings and Micho was forced into substitutions at the start of the second half with Yasser Mugerwa and Brian Majwega.
Milton Karisa had a chance to level matters but he fired off target.
Micho then introduced Moses Waiswa, handing the debut to the youngster with Muzamir Mutyaba paving way in the 79th minute.
Waiswa picked from Karisa before firing with his right shot to leave Kenyan goalkeeper Patrick Matasi rooted on his line with just three minutes left on the clock.
