Champions League: CAF Names Match Officials For KCCA, Luanda

Football governing body in Africa, CAF, has named the match officials to handle KCCA FC vs Petro de Luanda first leg encounter.

KCCA FC will visit De Luanda in Angola for the first leg on September 14 before the return leg two weeks later.

It has been confirmed that the match will be handled by Belay Tadesse Asseresse as the Center referee.

He will be assisted by Kindie Mussie and Tigle Gizaw Belachew as the first and second assistant referees.

Biruk Yemanabran Kassaun will be on the sideline as the fourth official.

KCCA FC knocked out Namibia’s African Stars 4-3 on aggregate – Allan Okello and Mustafa Kizza scored in the return leg at Lugogo to put KCCA in the first round.

The Angolan giants on the other hand beat Lesotho’s Matlama 4-0 on aggregate to reach this round.

Winner of this tie will progress to the lucrative group stages of the CAF Champions league while the loser will drop to Confederation cup qualifiers.
